Manama, Bahrain – January 31, 2015: BIBF recently held an open house for its Leadership Development Programme (LDP) offered in partnership with the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia (USA), and the Emirates Institute for Banking & Financial Studies.
The three-week programme, which is scheduled to take place in Charlottesville (Virginia) in April, targets outstanding managers from Bahrain and the Gulf region, and is based on action-oriented learning experiences and participant-centred classroom discussions. Through case study analysis, participants will explore actual business problems and solutions that will lead them to develop new ways of thinking about their own business challenges.
BIBF Director Solveig Nicklos delivered the welcome speech and stressed the importance of the programme, noting the impact of experiential learning in the development of executives. “The programme provides professional executive development that really challenges business leaders and stretches their thinking. Not only does the experience bring great personal and professional benefits, but it impacts successfully on the growth and prosperity of their organisations.”
Programme Manager Dr. Victoria Ghurbal presented the objectives of the LDP, the topics and content that was to be covered, and also shed light on the application and registration process. The short presentation was followed by live testimonials from participants who completed the programme in 2014, and now held prominent leadership positions at their respective organisations.
The Darden School of Business has served as critical resource for businesses all around the world and is ranked in the top five globally among business schools offering executive education.
