BIC Team Visit Schools To Promote Bahrain GP

BIC, Sakhir – Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) has stepped up its promotional activities leading up to the upcoming 2015 Formula One Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

A team led by BIC’s beloved mascot Speedy visited students at a pair of private schools recently in an effort to drum up excitement for the highly anticipated Grand Prix spectacle, taking place April 17-18-19 in Sakhir.

Speedy and crew visited both Ibn Khuldoon National School and Hawar International School in Riffa.

Dressed in his signature red and white race suit, Speedy raised the profile of the Bahrain Grand Prix and spoke to the youngsters about the race itself, the weekend’s supporting championships, the live stage performances and the wide range of fun family activities that have been lined by “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”.

Speedy also posed for photographs with the kids and delighted the children by handing out brochures, posters, T-shirts, caps, badges, stickers and other race memorabilia.

Meanwhile, a group of students from St Christopher’s Junior School in Saar made a trip down o BIC. They enjoyed a tour of the facilities, visiting certain key locations such as the iconic Sakhir Tower, Race Control Tower and Media Centre, among other locations.
