ANNOUNCING HONG KONG PARKVIEW’S FIRST CHARITY CHRISTMAS ART WORKSHOP

Hong Kong – The spirit of the festive season shines even brighter this year at Hong Kong Parkview with their very first Charity Christmas Art Workshop, which will connect art and community via creative workshops for the whole family. The public is invited to step into one of the city’s most iconic serviced apartments and clubhouse on Saturday, 17 December from 9am-12pm and 3pm-6pm to join Hong Kong Parkview’s Charity Christmas Art Workshop for HK$250 per participant, in which all proceeds will be given to the Lizzie Bee Foundation to support the elderly.

Hong Kong Parkview and the Lizzie Bee Foundation have Christmas 2016 artistically wrapped up with three colorful and festive decorations that will challenge children’s skilled craftsmanship in an unforgettable family day full of joy. Led by Liz Avern-Briers, the founder of the Lizzie Bee Foundation, children of all ages will have the chance to learn how to craft three different ornamental decorations. Guided by mom and dad, the kids will learn how to easily and safely create metal ornaments made of aluminium wire and beads, design Christmas garlands of elegant organza ribbon and various pearls as décor or create Christmas baubles using festively patterned paper with metal and beads as ornaments.

“By partnering with the Lizzie Bee Foundation we’re able to offer our members, residents and the public a chance to have fun with art as a family while giving back to the community. We’re thrilled the funds will wholly go to support Lost & Found. It’s also key for us at Hong Kong Parkview to see arts appreciation thriving across generations,” says Hong Kong Parkview General Manager, Olivia Au.

The Lizzie Bee Foundation aims to create a world where art brings people of any generation, origin and educational background together, enabling a social impact and enriching communities.

All of the funds raised by Hong Kong Parkview’s Charity Christmas Art Workshop will go directly to the Lizzie Bee Foundation to support Lost & Found, a program that works with the elderly on the outskirts of Hong Kong by revaluing their place in society with a generational knowledge sharing to bridge the gap between young and old.
