Manama – As part of Tamkeen?s Professional Certification Scheme, 9 Bahrainis have been certified as level one wastewater plant operators. The certification falls under Tamkeen?s ongoing efforts to establish Bahrainis as the employees of choice. The group obtained the certification following training and official examination held at the headquarters of the Muharraq STP Company under the supervision of the consulting engineering?firm Engicon.
The certification is accredited by the Centre?of Accreditation and Quality Assurance of the Technical?and?Vocational?Centre at the Jordanian Ministry of Labour, and it is implemented in cooperation with the Office of Water Programs from the California State University in Sacramento. The program seeks to provide operators with the best operation and maintenance practices, enhancing their practical skills and improving the operation and maintenance performance of water utilities.
Commenting on the announcement, Tamkeen?s Chief Executive Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi said: ?Tamkeen has always strived to support all key and vital sectors in the Kingdom.
