Held from 15 December 2016 to 3 January 2017, the “Knit Voyage 2016” exhibition presents visitors a knitting travel bringing together a multi generational group of artists, practicing designers, fresh graduates and celebrities, experiencing designers’ enthusiasm in pioneering knitting skills and injecting moderns twists into the traditional technique to unleash the numerous designs emerged from the yarns to other materials, and share an interest in archaic traditions and a fascination for innovative knitting and cross-disciplinary.

 About the exhibits of “Knit Voyage 2016”:

–       Artisan Collection

10 local renowned designers and celebrities have invited to create an art piece with knit and yarn elements under the theme “Artisan Collection”, varying from clothing, accessories to housewares. This includes creations from Denise Ho, Founder of Knotti; Douglas Young, CEO & Co-founder, G.O.D. (Goods of Desire); Grace Choi, Founder of Yi-ming; Janko Lam, Founder of Mutt Museum; Lil Ashes, Band; Phil Lam, Singer-songwriter; Polly Ho, Founder of LOOM LOOP; Steven Oo, Founder of STEVEN OO & 00:55; Veronica Lam, Photographer; and Zoe Siu, Founder of ZO-EE & ZO-EE Select.

–       YoungDe Collection

40 selected entries from Hong Kong Young Knitwear Designers’ Contest 2016 are exhibited, including Jonathan Yip, Kenneth Tsang, Joan Lam, Kenneth Yeung, Christy Lee and Zepar Siu.
