Hong Kong – Warm up this winter at Pirata Group’s Nikkei-inspired hotspot TokyoLima. Executive Chef Arturo’s new Alma Winter Collection is available throughout the season at the Lyndhurst Terrace izakaya, the new winter warmers showcase impressive Japanese-Peruvian flavours and techniques, that pair perfectly with selections from the restaurant’s extensive sake programme.
New Small Plates include the Octopus Causa (HKD150), a carpaccio with red miso sauce, basil chimichurri, capers, charred avocado and yellow causa with chives. Additions to the Raw and Seared selection include the Hot Prawn Ceviche (HKD170), featuring prawn tail with lifting flavours of orange tiger’s milk, chilli butter, grilled orange wedges and coriander, and melt-in-the-mouth Naked Beef (HKD160), a tenderloin with house-made sesame kimchi sauce served with kimchi crackers.
The Iberian Presa (HKD150) joins the Peruvian street food-style Sticks, and is served alongside Japanese sweet potato and a spicy Peruvian Aji Amarillo citrus sauce. New Sushi dishes include the beautifully wrapped Sakura Maki (HKD100) with pink soy bean paper delicately draped around black sushi rice with bright pickled beetroot and sweet potatoes topped with a cherry sour jam, and Niku Maki (HKD130), with avocado, kiuri (Japanese cucumber) and wasabi wrapped into rolls with seared beef tenderloin.
End the meal with the Lolita dessert (HKD80) the perfect winter seductress featuring a warm white chocolate brownie topped with house-made matcha ice cream and crunchy caramelised almonds.
