Oman?s Ministry of Tourism to Promote Popular Destinations in Annual Arabian Travel Market

The largest international travel and tourism event in the MENA region is going to take place at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event will kick off from April 28, 2019, ?and continue till May 1, 2019. Oman?s Ministry of Tourism has confirmed its presence in the event to encourage tourism in the Sultanate. Oman has seen fast growth in the past years as one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Middle East. This has been facilitated by the strong and continuous efforts of the promotional events and campaigns led by the government to uplift the country?s status and attract visitors.

Oman?s Ministry of Tourism focuses on the local travelers, international tourists and GCC visitors through this event, while it will shift its attention to promote famous destinations like Jebel Akhar, Khareef Dhofar, Al Ashkharah, Jebel Shams, etc. with the upcoming promotional events. The ministry has ensured to achieve the latest development in the industry of tourism. Various services and facilities to new global markets while raising the standard of Oman as one of the leading countries to attract visitors have been proposed to cater to the needs of international travelers. The Sultanate of Oman recently won the ?Favorite Road-Trip Destination? award at the Conte Nast Traveler Middle East Readers? Awards making it a remarkable tourist destination in the GCC region. Other concerned plans and projects will be unveiled at the event itself.

Oman has partnered with many public and private sector entities for the image the tourism has brought to it. These entities are entirely responsible for the establishment, maintenance, and the progression of special attractions. They have also ensured to present the culture and heritage of the Omani people to the visitors. The Ministry has also contacted local and international travel agents to turn up with interesting and affordable travel packages to attract visitors. These travel agents also mark their presence on different social media platforms to gather more online traffic. Numerous cultural and heritage events will be taking place to grab more visitors which will include folklore performances at the Royal Opera House and activities related to Eid al-Fitr and Al-Adha celebrations.

Director General of Tourism Promotion, Salem Adi Al Mamari found pleasure to be a part of the event with the leading participants at the Arabian Travel Market. He also shared his views on the significant aspect of such events. He told that these events act as a platform to showcase the latest tourism services, marketing offers and promotional plans to garner the attention of the visitors and emerge as one of the leading tourist destinations of the world. He added, ?This year, our focus will be on the Sultanate?s special tourism and hospitality offerings accompanied by numerous partners from the public and private sectors.?
